William Martin Joel is born in May 9, 1949. He is an American singer-songwriter. Joel was the recipient of various honours. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. In 2013 he was named a Kennedy Center honoree, and the following year he received the Library of Congress’s Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.
